Reading meeting for children
27.01.2026 – 27.01.2026
The Jesolo Public Library's children's reading group, “Gli esploratori di storie” (The Story Explorers), is a space for sharing and dialogue dedicated to young people, where they can explore books and stories together with other children. The next meeting will be held on January 27, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jesolo Public Library, Piazzetta Jesolo 1. During the meeting, three books will be read and discussed: Everything on a Waffle by Polly Horvath, which tells the story of Primrose, a young girl who is orphaned and cared for by her uncle Jack and Miss Bowzer, with everything served on a waffle; The Parable of the Independent Bakery by Neil Packer, which tells the story of two elderly bakers forced to sell their small bakery to a large factory, but who discover that homemade bread always attracts people; Granpà by Christophe Léon, an ecological western in which 16-year-old John lives with his grandfather and together they fight against the oil company, exploring the bond between grandparents and grandchildren and the importance of standing up against injustice. The event is aimed at young readers aged 10 to 14 and admission is free.
